If you need to use software like SPSS or EndNote to help you complete your assignments or final year project, and are wondering what to do now the University campus is closed, don’t worry! You can download these programs and more for your laptop for free from the IT Shop. Just choose the software you need, add it to your basket and register your details (make sure you use your university email address). It’ll take the IT Service up to two days to process your request, and then they’ll send you a link to a Sharepoint site where you can download and install the software.

If you’ve previously ordered any software through the IT Shop since October 2018, but need to download and install it again, it’ll be available to you on the Sharepoint site as well. Full details are on the IT website. If you have any trouble installing software, contact IT through their website.

If you need any help using EndNote once you’ve installed it, take a look at our webpages and our YouTube playlist. We’re also running some online workshops to help you get started with EndNote – there’s no need to book in advance, just click the links on our workshops page to attend.

If you need help or advice with SPSS, have a look at our SPSS course collection on LinkedIn Learning. There’s also some helpful resources for SPSS on the statstutor website. We also have some statistics videos on our Maths and Statistics pages, in case you want to refresh your knowledge of the key statistical concepts.

Good luck with your assignments, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have questions or need help!
